I couldn’t even finish reading the first episode. In the first episode, she’s sexually assaulted. Apparently he undressed her and did shit to her and she wakes up in different clothes and confronts him and even says something along the lines of “because you forced me.” WTF? It’s definitely giving 50s misogyny vibes. And we’re just supposed to shrug that shit off as “well he loves her.” Fuuuuuck Thatttt?! In what world is that shit okay? If my SO ever does that to me, I’m calling 911. That was sexual assault and if this were the real world, her husband should be behind bars. This writer should never write pilot episodes, I’m sure maybe their romance or story or whatever is great, but I just can’t continue to read this shit knowing he did that. It’s fucking disgusting! Way to go to scare off your readers and get yourself bad reviews. From now on author, I highly recommend reading your shit through and having a woman proofread it for 50s misogyny “jokes” like this. Just another example of how women set boundaries and the lack of respect they receive from men. If this was something they discussed earlier in their relationship as okay, I’d let it slide, but she legit uses the words “you forced me.” Not okay!!! That’s a no-no situation. Very bad!
