Yall have the name thing all wrong. Its not about it being the full name, more the name you first used to hypnotised them. So for example when he hypnotised the fl he called her valrose. So he only calls her valrose to hope the hypnotism isn’t worn off.

Duora’s mistake is she thinks her memory is right which is a big mistake, her memory is modified because of Imperfectio.
Nocton’s mistake he thought Duora became friends with him because of his hypnotism which is not. And keep testing her affection for him.
Alice’s mistake she thought her vision is true which is not [she saw Duora and Aron kissed in edger parlor]
Aron’s mistake he thought Alice did not want him and don’t want to know her past and that’s why he takes an oath not to pursue her that he is her ‘ED’
